Requirements
- Pursue a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, or a related field.
- Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Be a full-time student with a graduation date after February 19, 2027 and before August 20, 2029.
- Pursue an actuarial designation.
- Analyze data and review analysis.
- Demonstrate strong decision-making skills.
- Have intermediate proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Have beginner proficiency in Outlook and basic proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Have standard knowledge of using data sources.
- Complete multiple concurrent assignments in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Review rates for assigned states and product lines.
- Analyze profit and loss results, historical and current trends, projected underwriting losses, and rate competitiveness.
- Complete detailed analyses and make recommendations.
- Prepare rate package proposals for key business partners.
- Prepare internal and external communications describing and supporting rule and rate changes.
- Interact with regulatory authorities and management about rule and rate changes.
