Requirements
- Be licensed in the State of Missouri to practice law.
- Reside in the St. Louis metro area.
- Be comfortable appearing in court.
- Appear on time consistently using a reliable method of transportation.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills for a high-volume caseload.
- Be able to multitask in a high-volume caseload.
- Use Microsoft Office.
- Additional licensing in Iowa, Oregon, Illinois, New York, Nebraska, Idaho, California, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, or Nevada is welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for, attend on time, and properly handle court appearances within reasonable travel distance.
- Request court coverage when not appearing, including the required documents and proposed orders.
- Draft, review, and file motions and responses during litigation as needed.
- Prepare for trials and arbitrations, including travel and overnight stays when necessary.
- Communicate with consumers, their employers, and their attorneys to resolve accounts and suits.
- Review new and ongoing lawsuits, pleadings, and legal documents.
