Requirements
- Demonstrated experience helping patients access financial assistance programs, including manufacturer copay cards, patient assistance programs (PAPs), and foundation grants.
- Experience navigating specialty medication benefits investigation and prior authorization.
- Pharmacy technician, licensed practical nurse, or similar licensure as may be required in the applicable state.
- Technician registration or licensure in the state of employment.
- National certification as a CPhT is preferred.
- Proficiency in common pharmacy software systems such as QS1, ComputerRx, PioneerRx, or WAM.
- Familiarity with specialty medications, including medications used in autoimmune, endocrinology, and oncology.
- Comfort engaging with patients, providers, and care team members in person and over the phone.
Responsibilities
- Source financial assistance on behalf of patients.
- Process pharmacy claims.
- Answer patient questions and requests by phone.
- Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and pharmacists.
