Requirements
- Bring an AI-first mindset.
- Have hands-on experience using Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.
- Have hands-on experience building at least one large-scale system from scratch.
- Have 7+ years of backend experience.
- Have 2+ years of Node experience.
- Be available full-time until the end of the contract.
- Be available for meetings in Central Time, with at least 2–3 hours of daily overlap.
- Be comfortable working asynchronously in a remote environment.
- Be able to manage priorities and complexity independently.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services using TypeScript.
- Integrate backend functionality with third-party APIs and external data services.
- Write clean, readable, and well-tested code.
- Use AI tools for development, debugging, refactoring, and documentation workflows.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and risks while working with other engineers.
- Identify bugs, performance bottlenecks, and architectural risks early.
- Take ownership of solutions to issues.
