Requirements
- Have solid experience with Go, Rust, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and experience working with large distributed systems.
- Have experience developing software that runs in the cloud or experience with systems engineering.
- Have experience delivering projects from requirements gathering and ideation through shipping to customers.
- Write clean, robust, performant software that is maintainable by others.
- Be able to break down complex challenges into modular solutions, deliver MVPs, gather feedback, and iterate.
- Be able to work independently and communicate effectively in a fully remote team.
- Bonus: Have used Grafana and Prometheus in operational roles or personal projects.
- Bonus: Have familiarity with on-call work, operations/SRE tasks, or infrastructure as code.
Responsibilities
- Influence the team roadmap and contribute to setting career objectives.
- Work with the team to deliver features, then iterate based on results.
- Drive projects from initial ideation through operations after customer release.
- Contribute to open-source projects beyond the team’s direct scope.
- Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning their reliability, performance, and availability.
- Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of the services you run.
- Mentor and support teammates, participate in design discussions, and collaborate with the team.
- Build and operate capabilities for Unified Storage, Search, and Folders.
