- Have designed and built backend systems at high-growth technology companies.
- Bring strong backend and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Use sound judgment around scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
- Have experience building product-focused systems and a willingness to engage with users and act on their feedback.
- Have a software engineering background beyond data engineering or DevOps, with experience using modern technologies.
- Have a degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Improve warehouse query performance through pre-computed state and warehouse-specific improvements.
- Build analytics and experimentation features for creating audiences, choosing data to sync, and measuring downstream performance.
- Explore real-time audience computation and syncing as data warehouses adopt change data capture technologies.
- Investigate ways generative AI can make customer data workflows more seamless.
- Contribute to architecture and product specifications.
- Incorporate customer feedback into backend solutions.
