Requirements
- Have a healthcare background such as MA, PCA, CNA, or a similar clinical or patient-facing role.
- Have 1+ years of experience in abortion care.
- Be comfortable working across in-clinic and remote environments.
- Use strong triage skills and make sound decisions in real time.
- Provide clear, empathetic guidance to patients during stressful or uncertain moments.
- Use online tools and technology to deliver care and communicate with patients.
- Be comfortable supporting patients with sensitive health issues, including abortion and birth control.
- Navigate protocols, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies related to patient care and documentation.
- Demonstrate trauma-informed care, including adapting tone and responding with steadiness and respect during moments of crisis.
- Prioritize competing tasks, manage time, and communicate proactively about progress and follow-through.
Responsibilities
- Answer patient questions about treatment, logistics, and next steps.
- Troubleshoot patient concerns related to shipping, refunds, scheduling, and care coordination.
- Track patients through their care journey and ensure timely follow-up.
- Check, document, and report insurance eligibility information.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR while adhering to HIPAA and privacy standards.
- Balance multiple priorities and communicate reliably with patients and teammates.
