Requirements
- Have a healthcare background as an MA, PCA, CNA, or in a similar clinical or patient-facing role.
- Have 1+ years of experience in abortion care.
- Be comfortable working across in-clinic and remote environments.
- Demonstrate strong triage skills and the ability to make sound decisions in real time.
- Provide clear, empathetic guidance to patients during moments of stress or uncertainty.
- Use online tools and technology to deliver care and communicate with patients.
- Be comfortable supporting patients with sensitive health issues, such as abortion and birth control.
- Navigate protocols, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies related to patient care and documentation.
- Demonstrate trauma-informed care by adjusting tone and meeting patients with steadiness and respect during moments of crisis.
- Prioritize competing tasks, manage time, and communicate proactively with teammates about progress and follow-through.
- Work Friday and Saturday, 12:00pm–10:00pm ET.
Responsibilities
- Answer patient questions related to treatment, logistics, and next steps.
- Troubleshoot patient concerns related to shipping, refunds, scheduling, and care coordination.
- Track patients through their care journey and ensure timely follow-up.
- Check, document, and report insurance eligibility information.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR while adhering to HIPAA and privacy standards.
- Balance multiple priorities while providing reliable support to patients and teammates.
