Have 9+ years of professional software engineering experience, with demonstrated depth across the full stack.
Bring deep specialization in at least one area—front-end, back-end, or infrastructure—and working knowledge across the rest of the stack.
Have contributed to a team's technical direction and driven multi-month, cross-domain initiatives to completion.
Understand relational database systems, especially MySQL, and have experience designing for scale.
Have experience with Terraform and owning production services end-to-end.
Have experience driving observability, including with DataDog.
Demonstrate the ability to influence architectural decisions across multiple teams and contribute to long-term architectural direction.
Have experience using generative AI in your work and advising a team on AI-assisted workflows with human review.
Have experience mentoring senior engineers and developing technical judgment in others.
Communicate complex systems and tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders and drive alignment across teams.
Preferred: database administration experience, preferably AWS Aurora MySQL.
Preferred: experience integrating Electronic Health Record (EHR) data into enterprise software.
Preferred: experience in a regulated or compliance-driven healthcare or controlled-substance domain.

Set technical direction for the 340BCheck team across front-end, back-end, data, CI/CD, and infrastructure.
Make architectural decisions for applications and services built with React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, and Terraform.
Guide the team on architectural choices and make technical decisions within the team's timelines.
Drive proactive refactoring of services and applications to support 340BCheck as it scales.
Debug and resolve difficult problems across distributed systems and complex applications.
Lead cross-team dependency management and coordinate with Product, QA, and adjacent engineering teams.
Explain systems and technical tradeoffs to engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
Mentor senior engineers and provide technical guidance across the engineering team.
