Requirements
- Hold a Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Have 5–10 years of relevant experience.
- Maintain active membership in a state bar association.
- Demonstrate strong legal writing and analytical skills.
- Have experience in Medicare, Medicaid, or similar regulatory work.
- Work independently under general supervision and in team settings.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage.
- Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare provider operations.
- Have merger and acquisition experience.
- Be familiar with Medicare risk adjustment and related billing and coding requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on applying the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and Beneficiary Inducement Statute to CenterWell Primary Care delivery and operations.
- Assist with healthcare regulatory diligence for potential merger and acquisition activity.
- Coordinate and address legal issues during post-closing integration.
- Collaborate with company leaders to support compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Advise on protecting the company against external risk.
