Requirements
- Be a qualified lawyer admitted to practice in a recognized jurisdiction.
- Have 4+ years of post-qualification experience in BigLaw, a comparable in-house role, or a combination of both.
- Have a transactional background in one or more of finance, securitization, project finance, structured finance, capital markets, corporate/M&A, or tax.
- Be comfortable supporting transactions, product launches, corporate governance, commercial contracts, and day-to-day legal matters as a generalist.
- Have experience managing transactions and negotiating with sophisticated counterparties.
- Bring strong drafting and research skills.
- Have experience working with and managing external counsel.
- Digital assets, DeFi, or other blockchain-based financial product experience is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Manage transactions end to end, including preparing agreements, negotiating commercial and legal positions, and managing closing processes.
- Advise product and engineering teams as they build, launch, and operate blockchain-based financial products.
- Evaluate the legal and regulatory impact of product features, initiatives, and strategic business opportunities.
- Review and advise on marketing materials, promotional campaigns, and public communications.
- Track legal, regulatory, and enforcement developments affecting digital assets, tokenization, securities, and financial services, and translate them into practical guidance.
- Build and run internal training on legal and compliance topics.
- Contribute to corporate transactions, governance matters, and other strategic projects.
- Instruct and manage external counsel when specialist input is needed.
