Requirements
- Hold an active funeral director license.
- Have a mortuary school certificate.
- Have experience guiding families through funeral arrangement conversations, including pre-need, at-need, or both.
- Be comfortable using CRM software, dialers, calendars, video calls, and shared documentation independently.
- Have strong reading comprehension and the ability to learn independently from written process documents.
- Be confident conducting video calls with multiple family members and have a professional audio and video setup.
- Maintain a dedicated, quiet, private workspace and reliable high-speed internet.
- Be available for rotating evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- A current life insurance license is preferred but not required to start; licensing support is provided.
Responsibilities
- Respond to families who reach out and primarily manage pre-need family consultations.
- Guide families through consultative conversations and process prepaid arrangements through Homesteaders.
- Conduct phone and video consultations with individuals and groups of family members.
- Provide clear, empathetic, transparent guidance without upselling or transactional pressure.
- Enroll families in funeral funding plans and help secure pre-need arrangements using life insurance.
- Manage an active queue of 1,000+ monthly leads with timely responses and consistent follow-up.
- Complete enrollment accurately, including contracts, payment or funding setup, and state-specific disclosure documents.
- Participate in team performance goals, daily metric reviews, call transcript analysis, and coaching sessions.
- Use HubSpot, softphone dialers, Slack, and Google Workspace while maintaining accurate data.
