Requirements
- Have at least 6 years of professional experience as a Business Systems Engineer, Business Systems Developer, or in a comparable technical role.
- Have at least 4 years of NetSuite development and/or administration experience.
- Have hands-on experience with multiple NetSuite script types, including User Event, Client, Map/Reduce, Suitelet, and RESTlet.
- Have experience working in an Agile development environment and using a task management system such as Jira.
- Have practical experience writing automated tests using a programming language or testing framework.
- Have experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in day-to-day development, and validate, refine, or reject AI-generated output.
- Understand core business processes such as Order to Cash and Procure to Pay, along with foundational accounting principles.
- Have extensive experience building integrations through iPaaS platforms, APIs, or direct system-to-system connections, including understanding authentication methods.
- Be familiar with NetSuite configuration and administration, including roles, permissions, and saved searches.
Responsibilities
- Define, document, and execute NetSuite development tasks in an Agile workflow using Atlassian Jira.
- Design, develop, and maintain SuiteScript solutions that follow software engineering best practices and address root causes.
- Build and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression tests for customizations and integrations.
- Use AI-assisted and agentic development tools for SuiteScript, integration, and test development while ensuring generated code is reliable and maintainable.
- Help establish review, release, and change-management standards for AI-assisted changes, including documentation for SOX and ITGC compliance.
- Maintain architecture decision records, coding standards, and integration documentation.
- Partner with the NetSuite Administrator to govern configuration including roles, permissions, workflows, and bundles.
- Design, implement, and support scalable integrations between NetSuite and other enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with business users and internal business analysts across Finance, Supply Chain and Logistics, Financial Systems, and Member Experience to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Balance delivery speed with quality, scalability, maintainability, and governance.
