- 2-4+ years’ experience in healthcare field working in billing or collections; 2+ years’ client facing/customer services experience; 1+ years’ experience with MVA billing and collections required.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 2–4+ years of healthcare experience in billing or collections.
- 2+ years of client-facing or customer service experience.
- 1+ year of MVA billing and collections experience required; other complex claims experience is a plus.
- Intermediate understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and related data requirements.
- Intermediate understanding of MVA legal requirements.
- Proficiency with basic office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills and experience working with external clients.
- Ability to work independently, handle pressure, and meet or exceed productivity targets.
Responsibilities
- Research Motor Vehicle Accident claim payments using EnableComp software, systems, tools, and online medical websites.
- Request, acquire, and review medical records, provider notes, explanations of benefits, and other supporting documentation.
- Submit supporting documentation with hospital claims to insurance companies.
- Follow up with payers by telephone and update claim systems with accurate information.
- Prepare MVA initial bill packets or appeal letters and submit them with required documentation.
- Meet departmental performance and production targets while completing work accurately and efficiently.
- Attend weekly team meetings to discuss updates, procedures, and client issues.
- Communicate systems errors, cross-department questions, and HIPAA questions to the manager.
