Requirements
- Have at least three years of production AWS experience and be able to recommend and implement services for different workload scenarios.
- Have strong experience with Terraform.
- Have experience building GitHub Actions, particularly reusable components for consistent deployments across teams.
- Use Git workflows fluently in a collaborative setting.
- Have solid knowledge and experience with Linux.
- Be able to troubleshoot subtle system issues in distributed network environments.
- Understand enterprise best practices for security, reliability, performance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Understand the software development lifecycle, including emerging AI-oriented approaches.
- Have experience applying agile principles and development methodologies to scope and prioritize competing needs, including technical debt.
- Experience with Jenkins scripted pipelines, EKS/Kubernetes, Octopus Deploy, AWS CDK, and Spacelift is desired.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure using an IaC-first approach.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
- Develop and enhance observability across applications and infrastructure.
- Guide and promote best-practice use of the AWS platform across teams.
- Ensure applications meet production readiness standards and guide use of observability solutions.
- Provide operational oversight and support for production infrastructure while maintaining service level objectives.
