Requirements
- Have 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Have a track record of designing and shipping complex, large-scale distributed systems.
- Have deep experience owning complex systems end to end, from architecture through production operation.
- Know software design best practices, data structures, algorithms, and distributed-systems fundamentals.
- Have in-depth knowledge of cloud technology and the judgment to choose appropriate tools and architectures.
- Have experience building systems that handle sensitive or regulated data, with security and privacy as first-class design constraints.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and build alignment across teams.
- Demonstrate the ability and desire to learn new technologies in a fast-evolving AI landscape.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or have equivalent work experience.
- Experience building AI/LLM-powered production systems, large-scale data platforms, AWS, Infrastructure as Code, or security and privacy engineering is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, document, and drive architecture for key platform components.
- Own complex initiatives from design and architecture through development, deployment, and iteration.
- Build the foundation that unifies Aura’s data into a trusted, high-quality source for generating intelligence.
- Architect how AI agents access and reason over sensitive data, with least-privilege access, strong isolation, and enforceable privacy guarantees.
- Build systems that turn intelligence into personalized insights and actions.
- Make and defend technology choices across the stack, balancing scalability, cost, and operational simplicity.
- Champion security, privacy, observability, testing, and operational-excellence practices.
- Mentor engineers on design challenges, performance tuning, and system reliability.
