Requirements
- Transportation and logistics experience, including freight planning, carrier coordination, and rate negotiation.
- Cross-border and international freight experience, including customs documentation and broker coordination.
- Management experience overseeing teams and daily transportation or logistics operations.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Excel.
- Ability to analyze freight costs and carrier performance.
- Strong organizational, forward-planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in live events, touring, or production logistics is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan freight movements with Transport Coordinators, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to meet shipment requirements and event deadlines.
- Select carriers, secure capacity, coordinate pickup and delivery schedules, track shipments, and resolve delays.
- Coordinate cross-border and international freight with carriers and customs brokers, maintaining accurate customs documentation, HS codes, temporary import records, and re-export deadlines.
- Identify and onboard carriers, negotiate rates and service terms, and verify insurance and compliance records.
- Monitor freight costs and carrier performance, investigate shipment claims, and resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounting.
- Coordinate team priorities and coverage, support Transport Coordinators, maintain procedures and vendor information in Nexus, and work with the software team to resolve system issues.
