Requirements
- Have demonstrable experience in a primarily commercially focused role, typically 3 or more years.
- Have work experience in the marketing industry, at a marketing agency or content production company.
- Have strong commercial modelling and analysis skills.
- Have strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with Account Teams, Finance, and Legal.
- Be able to turn analysis into client-ready recommendations and contribute to client negotiation.
- Be fluent with AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT from day one, and reach very good to excellent fluency within 3 months, with the judgment to check their outputs.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Desirable: a track record of improving margin.
- Desirable: contract renewal or tender experience.
- Desirable: multi-currency commercial experience.
- Desirable: advanced legacy Excel and data analysis skills that have or can be transitioned to AI tool-driven analysis.
- Work to agreed scope, welcome direction and challenge, and take ownership of assigned work.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, model scenarios, and review accounts for client renewals.
- Work with the Group Commercial Director to set commercial strategy for renewals.
- Project-manage renewals, engage client teams on service proposals, and assemble proposal commercial elements.
- Provide commercial modelling, pricing, and deal structuring for tenders and RFPs.
- Support commercial sections of tender responses and related Q&A.
- Monitor account and contract profitability, flag margin erosion, and recommend commercial action.
- Refer issues owned by other functions with supporting evidence and track the outcome.
- Take ownership of assigned commercial projects, such as operating models, cost-governance business cases, and AI transformation analysis.
- Use approved AI and automation tools to build and improve commercial models, analysis, and reporting, and verify outputs.
- Agree written scopes, keep work within scope, and maintain clear records and handover notes.
