Requirements
- Have at least five years of professional experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner on technical, developer-facing products or platforms.
- Have at least two years of previous professional experience as a Software Engineer.
- Have hands-on development experience in a strongly typed language such as TypeScript, Rust, C++, C#, Java, or Go.
- Have experience building or managing developer-focused products such as APIs, SDKs, CLIs, IDE integrations, or infrastructure platforms.
- Be able to assess technical feasibility, architectural limitations, implementation complexity, and engineering trade-offs.
- Have demonstrated ability to define product direction, prioritize initiatives, manage dependencies, and align delivery plans with strategic goals.
- Have experience translating developer needs and business objectives into PRDs, feature specifications, product documentation, and engineering requirements.
- Understand product discovery, design, iteration, prioritization, development, and release processes across the product lifecycle.
- Be able to understand developer workflows, identify friction points, and balance usability, technical quality, and ecosystem needs.
- Have experience collaborating with engineering teams and technical leadership to resolve ambiguity and build alignment.
- Have practical familiarity with Ethereum protocols, developer tools, smart contract development, or related infrastructure.
- Be able to work autonomously, exercise sound judgment, and navigate complex technical environments while balancing immediate priorities and long-term goals.
Responsibilities
- Define, execute, and refine product roadmaps for Hardhat and Ethereum Development Runtime (EDR).
- Prioritize product work by balancing developer impact, engineering effort, technical constraints, ecosystem needs, and sustainability.
- Write and maintain product requirements documents, feature specifications, and product design documentation.
- Drive feature definition, scope, prioritization, and execution with engineering leadership and development teams.
- Define developer-facing functionality and user experience expectations for APIs, command-line interfaces, and configuration options.
- Assess architectural constraints, implementation complexity, and engineering trade-offs.
- Identify product opportunities through developer feedback, ecosystem engagement, and knowledge of Ethereum development workflows.
- Prioritize bugs and user feedback and help remove blockers affecting development progress or developer experience.
- Align dependencies, delivery sequences, and product decisions with engineering leaders, engineers, and ecosystem partners.
