Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in data analytics, data architecture, and process optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to break down ambiguous business questions and find patterns and root causes in large datasets.
- Expertise writing complex SQL queries, tuning query and database performance, and managing large datasets.
- Experience designing scalable data models and platforms, including dimensional and star/snowflake schemas, for high data volumes.
- Sound data pipeline management skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Python for data integration, manipulation, and automation.
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teams.
- Preferred: Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Git, and CI/CD for analytics code.
- Preferred: Knowledge of data quality, observability, and governance practices, including validation checks, lineage, and SLAs.
- Preferred: Snowflake cost and performance tuning, including warehouse sizing, clustering, and query profiling.
- Preferred: Hands-on use of LLMs and AI tools for text-to-SQL, automated insights, or anomaly detection.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data architecture and data models to optimize data processes and improve efficiency.
- Build and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines in Snowflake or another database or data warehouse.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
- Use Python to integrate, transform, and automate data workflows.
- Analyze data to identify patterns and root causes, and present findings with visualizations using Tableau, Sigma, or similar tools.
- Gather business requirements from cross-functional teams and translate them into technical specifications.
- Optimize existing analytics processes to improve reporting capabilities.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, understand data needs, and deliver timely, actionable insights.
