Requirements
- Demonstrated professional experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Power Query, DAX, and Power BI data modeling.
- Strong SQL skills for investigating, querying, validating, and transforming complex datasets.
- Experience with Microsoft Dataverse, Dynamics 365 data, or similarly complex enterprise operational datasets.
- Ability to prepare and transform data from multiple sources into reliable reporting structures.
- Understanding of data modeling principles, including star schemas, fact tables, dimension tables, relationships, and semantic models.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
- Confidence working with financial data and collaborating with Finance and FP&A stakeholders.
- Understanding of budgets, forecasts, actuals, profitability analysis, variance reporting, and management reporting.
- Preferred: experience with Azure Cosmos DB, Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, or SQL Server.
- Preferred: familiarity with Power BI Service administration, deployment pipelines, and Dataflows.
- Preferred: knowledge of source control, business intelligence deployment practices, or CI/CD processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for financial planning, analysis, and business performance monitoring.
- Transform Microsoft Dataverse, Cosmos DB, and other enterprise data into reliable reporting-ready datasets.
- Build and maintain semantic models, dimensional data structures, and DAX calculations.
- Use Power Query, SQL, and Microsoft data technologies to extract, cleanse, transform, validate, and combine data.
- Develop reporting for revenue, profitability, budgets, forecasts, costs, client performance, financial variances, and management reporting.
- Translate business requirements into KPIs, analytical reports, and scalable reporting solutions.
- Validate reporting outputs against source systems and investigate discrepancies and data quality issues.
- Optimize Power BI reports and data models for performance, usability, maintainability, and scalability.
- Document datasets, business rules, calculations, data transformations, and reporting logic.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and present analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
