Requirements
- Have 3+ years of hands-on vulnerability management or exposure management experience as a practitioner or presales engineer.
- Have working knowledge of scanners such as Tenable, Qualys, and Rapid7.
- Understand cloud and application security findings, EDR, CMDB, and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
- Be fluent in prioritization methods and concepts including CVSS, EPSS, CISA KEV, asset criticality, exploitability, and compensating controls.
- Understand the five CTEM phases: scoping, discovery, prioritization, validation, and mobilization.
- Be comfortable reading API documentation, troubleshooting integrations, and interpreting raw exports.
- Communicate technical and business points clearly to both CISOs and engineers.
- Learn new domains quickly and use AI tools regularly.
- Be comfortable with change, short timelines, and work without an established playbook.
- Be receptive to direct feedback and act on it.
Responsibilities
- Run technical discovery by mapping customer scanners, asset inventory, ticketing, and remediation workflows.
- Deliver demos tailored to the buyer’s problem and terminology.
- Define proof-of-value success criteria with customers, connect their tools, and deliver measurable results on a deadline.
- Position SAFE against legacy vulnerability management and other exposure management platforms using facts and customer data.
- Explain exploitability and remediation to engineers and translate exposures into business and financial terms for CISOs.
- Keep deal stages, blockers, and next steps current in CRM and presales systems.
- Share customer requests, competitive wins, and product gaps with the product team.
- Build reusable demo environments, proof-of-value playbooks, and competitive notes.
