Requirements
- Have 5+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years focused on data-intensive applications, database-adjacent features, or enterprise software.
- Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of a production feature or module from functional specification through implementation and production.
- Have hands-on production experience deploying, debugging, and managing application services across at least two major public clouds, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Build or integrate with vector databases, embedding pipelines, semantic search, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems.
- Have experience building LLM-based applications or workflows using agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
- Be proficient in Python and highly proficient in at least one backend language, such as Go, Java, or C++.
- Apply relational database skills including complex SQL, indexing, query optimization, transactions, and schema design.
- Have experience with temporal data models, event-driven tracking, audit logs, or system-versioned tables.
- Understand application security fundamentals including authentication, authorization, RBAC, row-level security, and multi-tenant data isolation.
- Use application monitoring tools and practices including structured logging, distributed tracing with OpenTelemetry, and alerting.
- Have experience designing and implementing REST and/or gRPC APIs.
- Hold a BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement application layers, business logic, and API workflows for cloud database services.
- Own features from functional specification through implementation and production.
- Write clean, scalable code for production systems.
- Deploy, debug, and manage application services across multiple public clouds.
- Use cloud orchestration to support robust deployments across multi-cloud environments.
