Requirements
- Have 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- Have experience as a tech lead, founding engineer, CTO of a small company, or the engineer responsible for holding a product together.
- Have shipped production code in at least three different technology stacks.
- Be comfortable working in varied stacks or able to learn a new stack quickly.
- Have taken over a messy codebase and a discouraged team and be able to describe what you did first.
- Use coding agents every day and be able to show your setup.
- Be comfortable working directly with GMs, operators, and customers.
- Be able to exercise good judgment independently.
Responsibilities
- Pick up the company's stack, work in its codebase, and ship working software to customers.
- Modernize the software development lifecycle with CI, tests, staging, feature flags, deploys, and coding agents while continuing to ship.
- Coach existing engineers and help improve their coding practices.
- Work with the GM to set the roadmap and own trade-offs.
- Set up coding-agent workflows and teach the team to use them.
- Put AI capabilities, including retrieval, tool use, evaluations, and guardrails, into production.
