Requirements
- Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience demonstrating relevant proficiency.
- Have at least 2 years of experience in underwriting, credit analysis, lending, or banking.
- Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in MS Excel.
- Be able to analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Be able to analyze bank statements and tax returns.
- Have basic financial modeling capability.
- Understand credit underwriting principles.
- Demonstrate strong spoken and written English.
- Bring strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Be able to work independently and learn independently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare credit analyses to support well-informed credit recommendations.
- Review business bank statements, financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow statements for investment analysis.
- Structure and underwrite complex credit applications in line with profitability goals and risk guidelines.
- Create financial models to analyze individual loan performance and overall portfolio health.
- Underwrite loan applications according to WBL’s guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare underwriting forms in Excel and loan approval forms for review, ensuring information is complete and accurate.
