Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- 6-10 years of accounting experience, including accounting or financial reporting roles with progressive growth in responsibility.
- Knowledge of US GAAP.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and technical accounting skills.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and manage multiple projects.
- CPA preferred.
- Public accounting (audit) and construction/EPC industry experience desired.
- Expertise in Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
- Willingness to travel domestically, up to 10%.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Finance & Accounting with monthly general ledger close and consolidation of parent and subsidiary entities.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and maintain the general ledger for a subsidiary.
- Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors.
- Research accounting issues and recommend GAAP-compliant treatments for acquisitions, debt financing, equity investments, and other complex transactions.
- Prepare account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and the payment calendar, and prepare a weekly pacing report covering cash and accounts payable status.
- Coordinate project cost tracking with Project Delivery and Project Accounting teams.
- Support state and local tax remittance and forecasting, purchase order review with Procurement, and payroll coordination with People (HR).
- Participate in budget planning and provide accounting support to Engineering, Development, Marketing, Project Delivery, and Sales.
