Requirements
- Have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Have strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate program as a second- to fourth-year student or enrolled in a graduate program.
- Be available to meet the weekly full-time hours requirement between May and August 2027.
- Python experience is preferred but not required.
- Tableau experience is preferred but not required.
- Consumer protection and/or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- An understanding of or interest in climate justice is welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Clean and analyze program data and use cases with subject matter experts across operations, strategy, and consumer protection.
- Research and compare consumer protection frameworks.
- Audit vendors’ digital and print marketing materials for compliance with program requirements.
- Develop and present recommendations to support equitable and sustainable solar program deployment throughout Illinois.
- Build a public-facing savings calculator showing escalation rates and total costs for PPAs and leases over 15- and 20-year terms.
- Create accessible, easy-to-understand website graphics about community solar subscriptions, leases, and PPAs.
