Have 8 or more years of software engineering or engineering management experience.
Show a progressive path from individual contributor work into management.
Have experience managing 5 or more direct reports, including hiring, performance management, and career growth.
Have recent hands-on experience shipping production software as an engineering manager.
Bring strong backend engineering experience.
Have strong TypeScript skills and the ability to contribute code directly.
Have experience with modern web and backend technologies such as React, Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
Be comfortable using AI tools in engineering workflows.
Have familiarity with AI product development practices such as evaluations, experiment design, and dataset curation.

Manage and support engineers through regular 1:1s, continuous feedback, performance reviews, hiring, and career development.
Own planning, retrospectives, delivery health, and early identification of execution risks for the pod.
Contribute regularly to production work, spending approximately 10% to 20% of time coding.
Partner with Product Managers and Technical Leads on priorities, architecture decisions, and cross-functional alignment.
Improve onboarding, documentation, and clear ownership boundaries across the team.
