Requirements
- Have 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Be able to walk through production systems you personally built, deployed, and maintained.
- Have experience with full-stack development of modern web applications, REST APIs, API integration, SQL, and database design.
- Have experience developing agentic AI systems and full-stack AI applications, including orchestration, tool use, workflows, memory, and multi-agent systems.
- Be able to verify, test, review, and evaluate AI-generated code.
- Understand LLM guardrails, policies, skills, behavioural controls, and cybersecurity best practices for AI applications and autonomous agents.
- Understand token budgeting, context-window management, latency, and inference-cost optimization.
- Have experience integrating AI agents with APIs, databases, authentication, monitoring, and production systems.
- Know Git and professional version-control workflows, authentication, authorization, application security, cloud deployment, production maintenance, testing, and debugging.
- Use AI development tools such as Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor daily across design, development, debugging, testing, and documentation, with examples to share.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the four Nexus applications across frontend, backend, database, and integration layers.
- Translate business requirements from the Australian team into technical solutions.
- Integrate Nexus applications with the Ostendo ERP through its API and add new modules and capabilities.
- Integrate applications with OpenAI, Claude, and Microsoft AI services; build a knowledge engine using RAG, embeddings, and vector search.
- Establish secure, reliable, maintainable, scalable, and auditable architecture, with separate development, testing, and production environments.
- Manage Git branching, pull requests, code reviews, releases, rollback procedures, and company-controlled repositories.
- Implement authentication, 2FA, role-based access control, API and database security, encryption, logging, and audit trails.
- Establish unit, integration, automated, and regression testing; support the Australian team through UAT.
- Deliver technical and operational documentation and conduct knowledge-transfer sessions for the internal team.
