Requirements
- Have at least 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer using Python and SQL.
- Have at least 5 years of experience with AWS.
- Have experience with Python and SQL.
- Have experience with AWS, S3, Step Functions, and CloudWatch.
- Have experience building data or document ingestion pipelines.
- Have experience processing unstructured documents, including PDFs, scans, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and emails.
- Have experience with OCR or document-extraction technologies, such as AWS Textract or an equivalent.
- Have experience integrating with sources such as SharePoint and email.
- Have experience with text cleaning and normalization, metadata extraction or tagging, and validation of OCR or extraction results.
- Have experience with Git, CI/CD, and testing.
- Have public-cloud data-processing or document-ingestion experience.
- Have English proficiency at C1 level.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable ingestion pipelines for high-volume structured and unstructured insurance documents.
- Ingest PDFs, scanned documents, emails, Word files, Excel files, and PowerPoint files.
- Process documents using OCR and document-extraction technologies.
- Clean and normalize extracted text.
- Apply semantic chunking and metadata tagging.
- Prepare vector storage and data for RAG.
- Validate OCR and document-extraction results.
- Monitor ingestion pipelines and automate error monitoring.
- Integrate ingestion pipelines with downstream AI solutions.
