Requirements
- Have 2+ years of formal design management experience, or 4+ years of equivalent team leadership as a Lead Individual Contributor.
- Have 5+ years of hands-on product design experience at a product-led software company.
- Demonstrate experience co-leading product strategy with Engineering, Product Management, and Data teams.
- Drive adaptable UX strategies that respond to user needs.
- Translate complex data workflows and user insights into flexible, scalable, intuitive design systems.
- Bring a clear, empathetic approach to guiding distributed design teams across time zones.
- Navigate ambiguity, shifting priorities, and emerging technologies such as AI/LLM tools.
- Understand healthcare practice workflows and design around users’ day-to-day needs.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product and Engineering to identify, shape, and prioritize product strategy and roadmaps.
- Lead experience vision and advocate for user needs across product areas.
- Identify strategic UX opportunities across product areas and the Weave platform.
- Coach designers to champion user needs, guide with vision, and shape priorities.
- Direct design reviews focused on craft quality, strategic direction, and experience vision.
- Develop designers’ craft, judgment, and impact through coaching and performance management.
- Hire designers and build conditions for team success and strategic partnership.
- Identify strategic user research initiatives and organize research to validate opportunities and re-examine assumptions.
- Build working knowledge of managed product areas and the end-to-end Weave platform.
