Requirements
- Bring advanced coding skills and 5+ years of professional experience in at least one of Rust, Go, or C/C++.
- Be willing to learn and work across different technologies.
- Have a solid systems-programming background, including Linux internals, processes, control groups, networking, and file I/O.
- Have experience building performance-sensitive software that runs on customer infrastructure.
- Build software that is resource-bounded, robust to partial failures, and safe to run with privileges.
- Be familiar with distributed systems, including horizontally scalable services and/or event-driven architectures.
- Be fluent in English.
- Experience with eBPF, kernel-level instrumentation, or container runtimes such as containerd, CRI-O, or Docker is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with observability tools and telemetry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes is a strong plus.
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own metrics collection and ingestion end to end, from agents on customer hosts and Kubernetes nodes through backend ingestion and processing.
- Solve performance problems across the pipeline.
- Address scalability problems across the pipeline.
- Ensure correctness across the pipeline.
- Lead technical design for features across the agent and backend.
- Collaborate with product and design on specifications and timelines.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to handle urgent issues.
