Requirements
- Typically 5 to 10+ years of relevant experience, including hands-on ownership of production infrastructure.
- Deep AWS expertise.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or a similar tool.
- Solid understanding of distributed-systems concepts, including ordering, idempotency, retries, at-least-once delivery, and partial-failure recovery.
- Production PostgreSQL experience, including connection pooling, migrations, performance optimization, and backup and restore.
- Ability to read and understand TypeScript and Node.js codebases, with familiarity with NestJS.
- Experience operating high-traffic, highly available systems.
- Strong independent debugging skills.
- Comfort using AI coding tools while maintaining strong technical judgment and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and operate AWS infrastructure across compute, messaging, storage, networking, and observability.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments from commit to production.
- Manage production PostgreSQL configuration, performance tuning, migrations, and backup strategies.
- Balance delivery speed with foundational system quality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to shape architecture and technical direction.
- Explore AI-assisted development tools and incorporate them into build and deployment workflows where useful.
- Investigate complex distributed-systems issues and deliver reliable solutions.
