Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred; an advanced degree is desirable.
- Eight or more years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of transportation operations and supply chain optimization.
- Experience defining product strategies, managing roadmaps, prioritizing initiatives, and overseeing delivery from concept to implementation.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions iteratively.
- Technology-focused experience with ERP systems, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
- Previous people leadership experience is preferred, including coaching team members, developing talent, and establishing accountability.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills, including data-driven analysis and cost-benefit assessment.
- Problem-solving and risk management capabilities for complex challenges and informed decision-making.
- Communication and stakeholder management skills to gather requirements, influence decisions, and align teams.
- Organizational and project execution skills to manage competing priorities and drive change.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to support business needs, stakeholder collaboration, and project implementation.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a technology product team while overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of the Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Define and execute transportation technology product strategy, short-term priorities, and long-term roadmaps.
- Design, scope, and implement technology solutions to optimize transportation costs, standardize processes, and improve network efficiency.
- Gather business requirements, define KPIs, and conduct cost-benefit analyses with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve operational and technical challenges, mitigate risks, and remove delivery obstacles.
- Drive adoption and effective use of transportation technology solutions, supporting integration and user engagement.
- Partner with IT teams and business stakeholders in an Agile framework to prioritize and deliver initiatives.
- Monitor system performance and identify improvements to shipment visibility, reliability, cost efficiency, and user experience.
- Align transportation systems initiatives with broader supply chain objectives and scalable technology capabilities.
- Communicate strategic priorities, project progress, and business outcomes to stakeholders.
