Job Details

Bring deep technical expertise in backend engineering and systems design.
Have a track record of making architecture-level decisions for complex, integration-heavy systems.
Have strong professional experience with Python.
Have experience with AWS serverless technologies, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and EventBridge.
Understand event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
Have full stack or backend engineering experience in a startup, scale-up, or fast-paced product environment.
Have owned complex projects from inception through delivery.
Be able to turn ambiguous problems into practical, well-scoped technical plans without a complete specification.
Have delivered projects with critical dependencies owned by other teams, collaborating and influencing without direct authority.
Connect technical decisions to commercial outcomes and customer or business value.
Be comfortable working hands-on across the stack; React and TypeScript experience is a plus.

Own architecture-level decisions for complex, integration-heavy systems, defining system boundaries, contracts, dependencies, and failure modes.
Design and build technical foundations connecting new-product initiatives with pricing, settlement, data, billing, and other core platforms.
Turn commercially driven and ambiguous problems into practical technical approaches and shippable plans.
Help develop and launch new product categories from concept through production and qualified commercial pipeline.
Automate and productise tendering, pricing, contracting, onboarding, and other manual workflows.
Design deal-gating and risk-management tooling for new categories of commercial risk.
Deliver integrations and technical outcomes across organizational boundaries and teams.
Build software across backend services and contribute to React and TypeScript frontend development when appropriate.
Write maintainable, well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to engineering practices and documentation.
Measure and improve system reliability, scalability, and business impact.
