Requirements
- Hold a university degree in IT.
- Have at least 12 years of relevant IT professional experience.
- Have at least 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Have at least 5 years of recent hands-on experience developing Java applications with an IoC framework such as Spring.
- Have at least 5 years of recent experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Have at least 2 years of recent hands-on experience with a modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework such as Angular.
- Demonstrate experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
- Demonstrate experience with CI/CD, Docker, and cloud/container-based deployment.
- Have at least 2 years of recent experience personally performing full-stack development across the specified technologies and components.
- Have practical experience working with Agile/Scrum or comparable software development methodologies.
- Have an excellent command of English.
Responsibilities
- Develop back-end website applications.
- Apply secure development practices, including input validation, authentication and authorisation, secrets and dependency management, secure logging, and protection against common web vulnerabilities.
- Design responsive applications and develop REST and SOAP APIs.
- Write clean, functional code across the front end and back end.
- Write automated unit, integration, and, where appropriate, end-to-end tests.
- Use application monitoring, structured logging, and tracing to diagnose production and non-production issues.
- Diagnose application, database, integration, and performance issues across the full stack.
- Design applications with consideration for security, maintainability, observability, scalability, and performance.
- Analyse data, processes, configuration, dependencies, and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain features across the stack, including user interfaces, API consumption, server-side business logic, and database interactions.
