Requirements
- Have 7+ years of professional experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including key/value, graph, and relational databases and transactions.
- Have profound experience with Golang.
- Have professional experience with the latest C++ standards.
- Have experience with microservice architecture, including JWT, orchestration versus choreography, load balancing, service discovery, and REST/gRPC communication protocols.
- Have experience or affinity with DevOps, including Kubernetes or Docker Swarm, load balancing, cloud computing, and CI/CD.
- Have experience or affinity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and/or Kanban.
- Have experience working on complex projects in teams and leading teams.
- Have scientific knowledge or interest in relevant fields such as 3D programming and rendering, statistics, numerical methods, or mathematical modelling in physics.
Responsibilities
- Work with frontend engineers, architects, and the product owner to create services.
- Develop backend code for the microservice architecture.
- Improve the solution and codebase by making and implementing technical decisions.
- Write clean, maintainable, scalable code that follows SOLID principles.
- Implement user stories in an agile environment.
- Own medium to large features and tasks from technical design through release.
- Help set goals and technical direction aligned with business goals.
- Create and maintain tools for interacting with the software and data.
- Work with the product team to understand customer needs.
- Ensure product code matches documentation and testing, including reviews, unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Evaluate and apply backend technologies to the product.
