Have at least five years of commercial software development experience, particularly in backend engineering.
Be proficient in multiple backend programming languages and frameworks, such as C#, .NET, C++, or comparable technologies.
Have practical experience with modern backend architecture principles, including microservices and scalable, maintainable applications.
Have experience building and deploying cloud-based solutions, ideally using Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
Be familiar with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL.
Be able to contribute to technical design decisions, evaluate architectural approaches, and develop robust solutions.
Have an understanding of DevOps principles, automated delivery workflows, and CI/CD tools; this is an advantage.
Have experience working directly with clients and delivering software engineering projects.
Have excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
Be able to work effectively in a fully remote, full-time position.
Reside in Europe to be eligible for the program.

Build, maintain, and optimize reliable, scalable backend applications using C#, .NET, C++, or other relevant languages and frameworks.
Apply microservices, modular design, and distributed systems principles to develop maintainable software.
Build, deploy, and maintain cloud-based applications using platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Design, integrate, and optimize relational databases, including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL.
Participate in architectural decisions, evaluate technologies, and identify opportunities to improve system design and engineering efficiency.
Collaborate on continuous integration and continuous delivery processes and apply DevOps principles.
Investigate issues, troubleshoot defects, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
Work with clients and cross-functional teams to understand objectives, communicate technical recommendations, and deliver aligned software solutions.
Contribute to code reviews and follow engineering practices that support reliable, secure, and maintainable software.
