Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience building and delivering scalable web applications.
- Strong proficiency in Java and a solid understanding of its ecosystem.
- Experience with frontend technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and MVC architecture.
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Preferred: experience with Spring or Play, and modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
- Preferred: experience with Elasticsearch, test automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, build tools, or event-driven architectures.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of real-time, business-critical applications.
- Build clean, secure, scalable, and maintainable full-stack solutions.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver features.
- Review code, provide feedback, and drive engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues using debugging techniques.
- Develop and maintain automated tests to improve code quality and coverage.
- Use AWS services such as S3, SQS, and RDS to build scalable cloud solutions.
- Improve system reliability and performance through monitoring and other improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in an on-call rotation supporting production systems.
