Job Details

Experience
5+ years hands-on in Google Ads, including time at an agency.

Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of hands-on Google Ads experience, including agency experience.
  • Bring experience managing people, or be ready to step into a formal people-management role.
  • Have deep knowledge of SEM fundamentals and be able to defend recommendations with data.
  • Be familiar with GA4, GTM, and conversion tracking setups.
  • Have built with AI, such as a workflow automation, reporting tool, or script that removes a manual step.
  • Be comfortable with spreadsheets, including pacing models, pivot tables, and audit sheets.
  • Write and speak clearly for a specific audience and present to founders or executives.
  • Take proactive ownership of performance outcomes.
  • Microsoft Ads experience is a plus.
  • Shopping feeds, YouTube, cross-channel context (Meta, TikTok), and hands-on tracking implementation are bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Run 2 to 3 client accounts across Google Ads Search, PMax, Demand Gen, YouTube, Shopping, and Microsoft Ads.
  • Set account strategy and make bidding and account-structure decisions.
  • Build forecasts, manage budget pacing, and report expected monthly outcomes.
  • Write weekly client reports and explain the results.
  • Manage Paid Search Managers through weekly 1:1s, growth plans, and reviews.
  • Review team work before it reaches clients and maintain quality across team accounts.
  • Write blog content and develop paid search playbooks for the team.
  • Use Claude with skills and MCP connectors for reporting and analysis, and build shared AI workflows.
  • Lead prospect audits and present findings in pitches.
  • Reconcile platform data with attribution tools and client reporting, and identify tracking problems.
