- 3–5 years managing Google Ads directly
- Required Skills
- Google Analytics
Requirements
- Have 3–5 years of direct Google Ads management experience.
- Have hands-on experience with Performance Max and large-scale Search accounts.
- Have personally managed $500K to $1M+ a month in paid search spend, or a comparable annual figure.
- Have grown a paid search budget at that scale rather than only inheriting and maintaining it.
- Have experience with offline conversion imports or an equivalent server-side conversion setup.
- Have strong command of Google Ads Editor, scripts, or the API for bulk work.
- Be comfortable defending a decision to pause a campaign that appears profitable on last-click.
- Microsoft Ads (Bing) management experience is a significant advantage.
- Experience launching a paid channel from zero to meaningful spend is a plus.
- Experience with paid search in a regulated or lending category is a plus.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, GTM, and a warehouse-based reporting stack is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own the Google Ads account end to end, including Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, and YouTube structure, budgets, bid strategies, and targeting modifiers.
- Manage keyword and search-term strategy, including brand and non-brand economics, competitor campaigns, negative keywords, and match types.
- Import offline conversions from Salesforce into Google Ads and diagnose attribution gaps so bidding can optimize toward funded deals.
- Manage Performance Max asset groups, audience signals, search themes, and reporting; investigate and address brand-search cannibalization.
- Build out Microsoft Ads with its own import process, budget, bid strategy, and fund-rate reporting.
- Scale search spend against growth targets while protecting cost per MQL and fund rate.
- Evaluate and launch new search and intent-based platforms, testing their potential and deciding whether to build or discontinue them.
- Work with the web team on pre-filled ad landing pages, keyword-matched application experiences, and a simpler mobile application flow.
- Build a Spanish-language search program with its own account structure, keyword research, matched landing pages, and performance targets across TX, CA, FL, and AZ.
- Coordinate with SEO and report weekly and monthly on spend, cost per MQL, MQL rate, MQL-to-fund, and ROI.
