Job Details

Bring 6–10 years of backend engineering experience.
Have deep expertise in Go and strong relational database design and SQL skills.
Have proven experience building or rebuilding payment, subscription, billing, and ledger systems end-to-end.
Have experience with gateway integrations, idempotent webhooks, renewals, upgrades, proration, cancellations, dunning, refunds, and disputes.
Understand payment ledgers, reconciliation, revenue recognition, taxation, financial reporting, and append-only or event-sourced ledger architectures.
Have designed systems where authoritative financial records determine derived state and transactions remain accurate and auditable under concurrency.
Have experience with B2B products involving complex billing, metering, plans, add-ons, multi-tenant environments, or partner billing.
Be able to investigate financial discrepancies and trace issues through underlying data using advanced SQL.
Have working knowledge of TypeScript, React, and modern frontend development.
Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency, or international billing and tax frameworks such as EU VAT/OSS or GST/IGST is valuable.
Experience with AWS Cognito, identity systems at scale, legacy data migrations, financial reconciliation, finance-close workflows, or revenue-reporting pipelines is a plus.

Design and implement a canonical billing and entitlement ledger using an append-only, journals-as-truth architecture and PostgreSQL.
Own the subscription lifecycle across purchases, renewals, plan changes, trials, cancellations, proration, and dunning.
Build payment gateway ingestion pipelines with idempotent webhook processing, dead-letter handling, and daily reconciliation.
Handle refunds, chargebacks, disputes, credits, and partial or zero-value settlements accurately.
Create financial and entitlement data pipelines for accounting close, revenue recognition, tax requirements, exchange reporting, and analytics.
Own checkout and account-management functionality, keeping the customer-facing billing experience aligned with the financial ledger.
Lead migration from legacy account and billing models, including backfills, parallel operation, reconciliation, validation, and regional cutovers.
Establish engineering practices for financial correctness, auditability, observability, reliability, and safe operation under concurrency and scale.
