Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in a technical field or have at least 4 years of traffic-related work experience in a relevant technical Traffic Signal role.
- Understand and be able to work with plan sheets, bid documents, engineering documents, and specifications.
- Have strong computer software skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
- Be proficient with MS Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Have basic AutoCAD skills.
- Have written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Have verbal and written presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret customer bid documents, specifications, and intersection plans.
- Convert customer specifications, special provisions, and requirements into estimated quotations for sales.
- Ask and resolve technical questions needed to prepare accurate quotations.
- Use the Agile software system to open a quote ECO, create a cabinet bill of materials, and perform costing.
- Create formal quotation letters using a template.
- Provide cabinet engineering with information needed to review documents and prepare production documents.
- Respond to cabinet engineering and production questions about quotations and bills of materials.
- Complete item cards in the D365 ERP system after quotations are completed.
