Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in payroll, business analysis, operational analytics, or a related role.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide processes involving compliance, audits, and multi-system integrations preferred.
- Experience working with high-volume and multi-state payroll environments preferred.
- Ability to lead process improvement, identify risks and control gaps, and implement scalable, standardized solutions.
- Ability to manage and influence cross-functional stakeholders and align competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex payroll concepts.
- Commitment to protecting sensitive payroll and employee data.
Responsibilities
- Own the intake, prioritization, and delivery of payroll and cross-functional initiatives.
- Analyze payroll processes, systems, audit findings, ticket trends, and operational data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Lead working sessions with Payroll, HR, Finance, Benefits, and Technology stakeholders to define requirements and solution designs.
- Manage the end-to-end requirements lifecycle and maintain business requirements, SOPs, process maps, workflows, and control documentation.
- Analyze payroll and system data, identify trends and root causes, and provide actionable insights for operational and leadership decisions.
- Drive dashboards, KPIs, data storytelling, automation, and process optimization, including Excel models and Power Automate.
- Coordinate dependencies, timelines, and risks across initiatives and liaise with business, technology, and external partners.
- Support system changes, UAT, deployment, adoption, training, and communications, and assist with audits, testing, and remediation.
- Lead payroll transformation initiatives and provide guidance to analysts and stakeholders.
- Provide backup support for designated payroll functions and Payroll Tax Analyst responsibilities as needed.
