Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- MBA, Health Policy, or equivalent preferred.
- At least 5 years’ experience with significant focus in areas including Finance, Market Access, or Business Development.
- Thorough understanding of US healthcare economics and pharmaceutical demand drivers, including pricing and reimbursement.
- Knowledge of downstream pharmaceutical channels and ability to clearly articulate new or revised deal terms.
- Ability to design, build, and analyze financial models for business cases.
- Demonstrated prioritization, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop solutions for complex processes and procedures.
- Previous experience with pharmaceutical distribution or GPOs preferred.
- This position requires travel; working hours and travel expectations will be defined by the hiring manager.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary account lead for assigned GPO accounts and drive partnership and contract optimization.
- Develop channel account-specific and portfolio contract strategies aligned with Business Unit sales goals and customer needs.
- Align account strategy with Sales, Marketing, Medical, and Managed Care functions and coordinate cross-functional support.
- Use analytics to develop account-specific contract strategies and build long-term relationships based on understanding each account’s structure, strategy, and priorities.
- Partner with Trade Operations and Managed Markets Finance to maintain financial and data integrity and adequate data flows with distribution and GPO accounts and trade partners.
- Develop and share brand analytics modeling and reporting.
- Work with internal and external partners to address pricing and access issues using knowledge of company, wholesaler, and GPO contracts and systems.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for GPOs and the distribution network for in-line and launch products.
