Requirements
- Strong foundational knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, natural language understanding, and text generation.
- Ability to apply advanced research techniques to practical challenges.
- Experience tracking and interpreting scientific literature on LLMs and generative models and translating relevant breakthroughs into business applications.
- Expertise in one or more LLM post-training approaches, with practical knowledge of model adaptation, optimization, and evaluation.
- Experience leading machine learning projects from research and experimentation through model training, evaluation, and production integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and a research-oriented approach to complex technical challenges.
- Ability to explain machine learning concepts to diverse audiences and influence technical and business decisions.
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams, identify opportunities for innovation, and establish technical direction.
- Preferred: experience in text summarization, generated-text quality assessment, or LLM-based evaluation, including LLM-as-a-judge techniques.
- Preferred: familiarity with computer vision and generative vision models, particularly diffusion models.
- Preferred: experience with recommendation systems, personalization algorithms, or user-facing optimization systems.
- Preferred: contributions to machine learning research communities and collaboration with research and engineering professionals.
Responsibilities
- Monitor developments in LLMs, generative AI, and deep learning research, and translate relevant techniques into practical solutions.
- Lead machine learning projects through research, experimentation, model training, evaluation, and optimization.
- Improve generated-content quality, particularly text summarization, and develop reliable LLM-based evaluation systems.
- Design and implement AI evaluators, including LLM-as-a-judge approaches, to assess generated outputs against quality standards.
- Combine content generation with recommendation principles to optimize promotional assets for specific audiences.
- Collaborate with machine learning scientists and engineers to integrate research models into applications, platforms, and production workflows.
- Identify high-impact opportunities, define technical roadmaps, and communicate research findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to machine learning knowledge sharing and collaborate with internal and external research networks.
