Requirements
- Hold an active, unrestricted mental health license in the state of primary residence and the state where services are provided.
- Hold or be willing to obtain an Iowa license.
- Have an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC credential.
- Be comfortable working in a remote environment.
- Be willing to work primarily with pediatric patients.
- Provide care through telemedicine to patients throughout Iowa.
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based counseling and therapy based on patients’ clinical needs.
- Use treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, psychoeducation, trauma therapy, addiction therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and bereavement or grief counseling.
- Deliver treatment in individual and group therapy settings and engage patients in their treatment plans.
- Review and sign psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and consents as needed.
- Maintain clinic records and document services and patient activities in accordance with clinical practices, contracts, and regulations.
- Conduct crisis intervention for individuals and families based on individual safety plans.
- Participate in case planning with the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in individual and group supervision and ongoing education and training.
- Provide case management services to promote recovery and community reintegration as needed.
