Requirements
- Have five or more years of professional web development experience in any stack, solving challenging problems and implementing new features from scratch.
- Have three or more years of experience with SQL, including relational schema design and complex queries.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of web development concepts and principles.
- Provide examples of full-stack projects or significant product features, including at least one demonstrable project with frontend code, backend code, and a database.
- Be able to design, develop, and launch a web application or substantial feature from start to finish.
- Know web application, data, and SQL security best practices.
- Be comfortable working outside framework abstractions and understanding what happens behind the scenes.
- Have experience using Git in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrate sound engineering judgment when using modern development tools, including AI assistants, with attention to security, privacy, and code quality.
- Be able to learn quickly, navigate an established codebase, and build new skills independently.
Responsibilities
- Own features from technical design and development through deployment, monitoring, and continued improvement.
- Write clean, secure, readable, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and other cross-functional partners.
- Design, integrate, and build internal and external APIs.
- Develop new products and features while improving and modernizing existing systems.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and design relational database schemas.
- Create and maintain complex backend services and algorithms.
- Profile, troubleshoot, and optimize new and legacy code.
- Build experiences for mobile, tablet, and desktop environments.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering practices that improve quality, reliability, security, and developer experience.
