Requirements
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have 2+ years of industrial sales experience, preferably in industrial repair services.
- Preferred: experience with electronics, hydraulics, robotics, servos, and/or mechanical components.
- Preferred: a bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Engineering, or a 2-year technical degree.
- Demonstrate experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, account development, and time management.
- Be able to establish and maintain business relationships.
- Have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Be proficient with MS Office products and able to learn and use a CRM system.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Be able to drive to and visit customers in industrial settings.
- Be able to travel overnight as required and lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain current customers and obtain new customers in a defined geographic territory.
- Cold call and prospect for new business.
- Manage a book of open orders and keep customers informed and satisfied.
- Update the CRM daily and organize schedules around an outside sales approach.
- Build relationships with customers at all levels of their organizations.
- Help solve customers’ problems.
