Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or MS is a plus.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in renewable energy, structured finance, infrastructure investing, investment banking, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated exposure to capital markets and/or project finance transactions.
  • Strong financial modeling and structuring skills, with mastery of core valuation and credit concepts.
  • Strong Excel skills, including building and navigating complex financial models.
  • Experience preparing transaction materials and conducting due diligence.
  • Familiarity with capital markets instruments used in clean infrastructure, such as term loans, private credit, structured debt, and project-level financing.
  • VBA or Python skills are a plus.
  • Exposure to tax equity underwriting is a plus.
  • FINRA SIE, Series 79, and 63, or willingness to obtain them under Crux's broker-dealer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution across debt mandates, including modeling, diligence coordination, and documentation.
  • Prepare financing presentations, credit memos, investor marketing materials, and internal approvals.
  • Support advisory mandates through financing alternatives analysis, capital raising strategy, and process management.
  • Conduct capital structure, pricing, and credit analysis across renewable energy asset classes.
  • Participate in client meetings on financing alternatives, market positioning, and structuring considerations.
  • Interface with capital providers, developers, sponsors, and external advisors.
  • Drive transactions from intake through term sheets and maintain active market intelligence with senior Structuring team members.
  • Use technology and AI-enabled tools to improve modeling, diligence, and reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Improve and standardize models, memos, and term sheet templates.
  • Support platform initiatives that scale capital markets workflows and develop technology-enabled financing products and solutions.
